Debut album out Monday

The album has been in the pipeline for what seem to us like something close to an eternity. It started in the winter of 2005 when Even had a good idea for a song, but had no accordion and no lyrics. Morten came over, and quite some beers and half a bottle of Jameson later the first full-blooded Captain & Me-song was born.
In the months that followed The Captain & Me recorded more songs, using an ever-increasing number of instruments, and always raising the bar muscally, conceptually and lyrically. That autumn they started gathering a live band - it was always obvious that the live band had to become a large band. And the following February, they were invited to By:larm 2006 in Tromsø.
That's when the ball started rolling regarding a full length album. Even and Morten wrote and recorded more songs and the band learned them in record time to play shows in Oslo, on summer festivals and in cities across Norway.
And now it's here: "Automata". Released on Cornerman Records, the label run by the honourable Saint Thomas. Enjoy.
(There will be more information on this site in the coming days and weeks.)
